INDICASAT AIP has become one of the principal institutions for collaborative educational and research training in Panama. The Institute is leading in bioscience research in Panama and Central America and actively collaborates with national and international institutions. INDICASAT AIP hosts innovative, bilingual Ph.D. programs in coordination with national and international universities, such as PhD program in Biotechnology and the MD/Ph.D. in Biomedical and Clinical Research.
The Center for Academic Affairs mission is to coordinate all educational and research training programs in the Institute and to manage all grants dedicated to supporting education. The center is continuously striving to enhance quality educational opportunities at all levels by developing, implementing, and reviewing policies and programs that benefit students, faculty, and the greater community.
Our vision is to develop excellence in scientific and innovative teaching and research. This will allow us to respond to the evolving trends and challenges in scientific training. To this effect, the development of academic programs comes with consistent efforts and measures of accountability that collectively promote advanced scientific and innovative education.

The CAA is in charge of the selection and the admission process of students for research training. Each student will be assigned a mentor who will assume responsibility for him/her within the Institute. The director of the Institute nominates a committee which participates in the selection, admission and evaluation process of the following research training.
-PhD in Biotechnology in collaboration with Acharya Nagarjuna University, India
-PhD in Bioscience and Biotechnology in collaboration with Universidad Tecnológica de Panama, Panamá.
-MD/PhD in Biomedical and Clinical Research in collaboration with Universidad de Panamá, Panamá.

Internships for National and International Students (Student Science & Innovation Intern Program)
The CAA supports the selection and evaluation process of each faculty member, postdoctoral fellow and adjunct faculty in the institute according to specific rules. For this purpose the director of the Institute nominates an external or internal committee which is in charge of the above mentioned selection and evaluation process.
The CAA coordinates together with the Director and the Administrator the bestowal of the following awards.

The CAA offers research opportunities at a national as well as on an international level. The center receives donations to support research and education training.
